i'm probably moving to kamloops soon. this town is finally getting to me, i think.
okay so "man on the moon"? watch it. i've had so many opprotunities to watch it but i dont much like jim carrey but it was on encore avenue. i love that channel for so many reasons (helloooo john steinbeck marathon!). anyway, the movie was brilliant, and jim carrey was AMAZING. totally changed my mind of him. because of it i've been on youtube watching andy kaufman videos all day. pretty sure he's my soul mate.
anyway my life sucks and that was all that was worth updating about.

last sunday i went to kamloops to see dan. i called my mom tuesday to tell her i made it there alright and everything's good, but i miss my cats and the dog. then she says "um, i have some bad news."
my olivia has been missing since i left, which is 8 days ago now. i kept convincing myself she would be waiting for me when i got home.
i got home last night and when she wasn't there it finally sunk in that she's gone. i mean, there's still hope that she'll come back, but as the days go on that hope fades.
i'm thinking of putting up posters, but it's snowing today and they'll just get ruined if i do that. and tomorrow i'm gonna try to get to the spca. oh i just hope she's okay.

i am bored. bored bored bored. dan's coming today, and i'm reeeally excited. so excited that i'm basically counting down the minutes until 7:15, but it's making time stand still, which is not helping my boredom. i hate this. i wish i was tired so i could nap. at least i'm babysitting today, which will give me something to do but i don't start for another 3 hours.

i'm the worst lj friend, ever. i do try to read everything though!
what have i been up to lately...well on SATURDAY i went out with dez! we were supposed to watch UFC at the rex but it wasn't workin' sooo over to the crown we went, because an elvis impersonator was there that night. that was...somethin else! he serenaded me and gave me his scarf, and then tried to kiss me hahhaa it was a pretty fun night! i hadn't been out in sooo long, and i don't even remember the last time just me and dez went out :)
then sunday night, ron's parents made a surprise visit. i was terrified, because just a few weeks ago ron's sister was staying with us, and she got wasted and caused drama with me and my mom..long story, but it was fucked up. but his parents were actually pretty decent. i think they left today.
and on the 10th we're expecting a visitor who i'm actually EXCITED to see...my danny! :) he booked some days off so he'll actually have a fair amount of time here, and won't be rushed. we're doing very well considering the distance and everything, but i just wanna wake up with him every day..it's pretty tough, but i'm reeeally glad we're making things work..in fact, next month will be our one year!!
anyway even though it's 34degrees, i'm gonna make some rice krispee squares today. yum yum :) since july, i've taken up two hobbies: baking and reading (i feel 90). i hadn't picked up a book since high school, and tv was starting to bore me. so far i've read: of mice and men, go ask alice, to kill a mockinbird, and now i'm debating whether to start breakfast at tiffany's, tom sawywer/huckleberry finn, or the color purple. i'll probably go with breakfast at tiffany's. i just finished to kill a mockingbird and since harper lee and truman capote were good friends, it only makes sense, i guess.

i seriously need to post more. but my life is a snore fest.
basically i've gone into summer mode. lazing around, sleeping in, hanging out at the beach (looking for jobs, impossible). oh and i went camping at christina lake, which was pretty awesome. we totally roughed it, too, which was maybe why it was so enjoyable. something about sleeping in a tent just rubs me the right way.
it's my mommy's birthday tomorrow!! we are going for a boat ride on the river, because she has never been. and she's pretty nervous about it! but i am encouraging her because she needs to break out of her comfort zone. and then there's some more birthdays in the family but nothing really planned for them.
and after that i will be going to kamloops if everything works out according to plan. i'm excited cause i think he will be taking me camping! i would just love to sleep in the same sleeping bag, under the stars, with that boy.
anyway i'm covered in paint so i'm gonna go hop in the shower and then watch a movie or something.

none of those things i mentioned in my last post happened. instead, dan's coming to visit in SIX days, and i got a job doing renovations with my mom's boyfriend. its hard work so far, because we're still doing all the prep work, but it's fun! and it's money, and i dont have to deal with customers or mean bosses :) plus i can pretty much pick when i work, and for how long.
anyway i have an essay to write and some other homework. don't wanna be too far behind on it when dan's here. cause i have a feeling we're not gonna leave my bed...unless we get creative *wink*
